About Devon Martial Arts

Devon Martial Arts is a proud member of P.U.M.A. (Professional Unification of Martial Arts).

Our martial arts school here in Exeter is one of the oldest in Devon, founded by the great
and legendary Master Johnny Black VIII Degree, when he introduced Taekwon-Do to Devon
in 1976.

Instructor Brett Dowling feels truly honoured and takes great pride in continuing Master
Blacks legacy, as the longest standing member of the school. Devon Martial Arts caters for
everyone of all abilities and age, offering Taekwon-Do, Kickboxing and Little Pumas for 4-7
year olds.

Martial arts have been proven to develop confidence, fitness, motor function and have an
amazing effect on practitioner’s moral code and conduct.
